What is my PIN?

Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a number that is generated for you at our offices and mailed to your registered mailing address the following business day after you make your first deposit to your ECash Direct account. Your PIN is necessary for you to withdraw money from your ECash Direct account or to deposit more than US$1,000 or currency equivalent by credit card when you first create your ECash Direct account. Please keep this number confidential. You are solely responsible for the confidentiality of your PIN. If you lose your PIN, please contact us requesting a resend. If you register more than one account, you will be issued a unique PIN for each account.

What is my temporary PIN?

Your temporary PIN is a four digit number that is generated for you upon registering your ECash Direct account. It is generated at our offices and sent electronically to the e-mail address that you provided during registration. Your temporary PIN allows you to deposit up to US$1,500 or currency equivalent to your ECash Direct account. You should receive your temporary PIN within 5 minutes of registering your ECash Direct account.

When is my temporary PIN disabled?

Your temporary PIN is effective for a period of up to two weeks after it is issued. An actual date is provided within the temporary PIN e-mail letter sent to you. At the end of this period, the temporary PIN becomes disabled automatically.
If you use your regular PIN during this initial two weeks period, your temporary PIN becomes disabled.

I have entered the PIN I was sent in the mail, and it gives me the error message "Invalid PIN". What am I doing wrong?

There are several possibilities. First, check to ensure that you are entering the PIN correctly. Second, make sure that you are entering the correct PIN for that account. To verify your account number, select Deposit from the ECash Direct screen and click on the Check tab. Here you will see your six or seven digit account number displayed in the "Sender's account number with company" field. Please compare this account number with the one displayed on your PIN letter (it is shown as the last six digits beside your alias in brackets). If you compare these two numbers and they are the same, please contact us. If they are different, you are using the wrong PIN for that account.

When I opened my account, I entered my PIN and it worked fine. Now I get the error message "Invalid PIN". What's wrong?

When you open your first account with us, your credit cards do not have any history in our system. Thus, you may deposit up to US$1,000 or currency equivalent using any credit card before you will be required to enter your PIN. The program will not check the PIN field until you try to deposit anything totaling US$1,000 or currency equivalent or greater. Up to that point, you may enter anything in the PIN field (i.e. your name, or ATM PIN number), and it will be processed. Once you try to deposit over US$1,000 or currency equivalent, you MUST enter the temporary PIN that we send you by e-mail or the six digit PIN that we send you by regular mail.
